The Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride
13th of June – 15th of June 2025
The Oswald von Wolkenstein Tournament is one of the most traditional and spectacular equestrian events in South Tyrol. Each year in spring, more than 100 riders and horses take part in this unique competition, inspired by the castles of the Schlern area and named after the famous medieval minstrel and poet Oswald von Wolkenstein.
The event spans several days and includes different stages that require skill, strength, and teamwork between rider and horse. Participants traverse medieval castles, stunning landscapes, and historic villages while mastering exciting challenges.
In addition to the competitions, the tournament offers a diverse supporting program with music, gastronomy, and entertainment for the whole family. Spectators are invited to experience the region's atmosphere and the historical heritage of Oswald von Wolkenstein up close.
