After strolling through meadows, pastures, vineyards and past chestnut trees, it is our tradition to stop at a Buschenschank, a traditional peasant tavern, and enjoy whatever wines and country platters its cellars and kitchens might have to offer, and always in pleasant company. In other words, whatever lands on the table invariably comes from the farm. The new wine, walnuts, bacon, barley soup, dumplings, Schlutzkrapfen (stuffed ravioli), pork ribs and corned beef, homemade sausages, sauerkraut and the roast meats are not to be missed. To finish, there are the freshly made sweet Krapfen, the Tyrolean doughnuts.
