As the days grow warmer and the branches of the fruit trees become laden with pink and white blossoms, so the meadows of Laion become transformed into a beautiful sea of flowers. Throughout the month of April, the peaks of the Dolomites serve as a snow-covered backdrop to the Dolomiti Superski Circuit. Hikes around Laion and the surrounding area, to the sumptuous Trostburg Castle, (former residence of Oswald von Wolkenstein, the medieval minstrel), or around the fishing lake above Ceves/Tschöfas, at the so-called Time Cross as well as the Vogelweide farmstead provide the best experiences of the springtime awakening.
