Walking On The Seabed

Imagine… walking on the seabed, cycling around coral reefs or literally climbing over the history of the Earth, or just looking on in amazement. We can thus paraphrase the observations of South Tyrolean journalist, Ulrich Ladurner when he wrote about the Dolomites, in his article published in National Geographic. Reinhold Messner, the most famous extreme climber with a thousand peaks to his credit, defined the Dolomites as ʺthe most beautiful mountains in the worldʺ. It is little wonder then that the so-called ʺPale Mountainsʺ, created over millennia with fossilised corals, were declared a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site. The Dolomites received this top-level international recognition thanks to the beauty of the unique landscape, with nothing else like it anywhere in the world. On clear days, the characteristic setting Alpine sun (Enrosadira, Alpenglow) radiates glowing red, orange, and purple-coloured hues across the soaring, jagged limestone peaks.
