The Rasciesa is located in the Puez-Geisler Nature Reserve, which is located northwest of the Dolomites and covers an area of 10,722 hectares. Rasciesa has always been one of the best vantage points in the Dolomites. The Rasciesa lies in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park and stretches north from Villnösstal to St. Ulrich in the south. Its east-west extent extends with a total length of nearly 12 km from the Geisler massif in the east to Lajen in the west of the Dolomites.
